THE PAST 48 HOURS . . .

And we are shingled. The crew from Collis Roofing arrived yesterday at 7:15 AM. They began the process of tearing off all the old shingles and tar paper. Today another crew arrived and started laying the new shingles down. By 6:50 PM this evening all the shingles were installed, the clean-up was finished and today's crew was pulling out of the drive. We've waited a very long time for this day and we are very relieved to be completely dried in.

GOT SHINGLES?

The house will set idle for a few weeks while
we work on getting quotes to re-shingle the entire
house. At least the blue FEMA tarp is gone for now
BUT we just have tar paper on the new construction.
Is there any rain in the forecast?

TAKING A LOOK BACK . . .

We've come a long way so far and have a long way to go. It's been a long and hard project to bring from a sketch on a piece of paper to reality. Tim has done an amazing job . . . every nail he has hammered and every drop of sweat will be well worth the effort. Tomorrow will be a big day . . . the FRAMING INSPECTION.

TRUSS PARTY ANYONE?

We had a great truss raising party on Saturday. Thanks to Papa John and Russell for their SUPPORT and help. A big thanks goes out to all our families and neighbors as well for helping. We could not have done it with out you. The 'tall boys' were awesome.

LET THE FRAMING OF THE PORCH BEGIN!!!

Work will remain idle on the closet until we get the framing finished on the front porch. At which time we will get the framing inspection done on both. Tim just happened to find more paint and has painted over the remainder of the closet. Fwww . . . At least now it wont stand out as much.
